Here’s another installment of our Customer Spotlight, where we take a closer look at the website creations of our customers. If you have a site you’d like to show off, fill out this brief questionnaire and we’ll review it for consideration!
This week’s customer spotlight looks at the portfolio site of Phil Ackley, a talented Alaska-based photographer who specializes in taking pictures of broken things in the hinterlands of the frigid state where he makes his home. Interesting stuff. Enjoy!
Tell us about yourself.
I am an Alaskan photographer crazy enough to make photographs in the frigid -40f temperatures of an interior Alaskan winter. I spent last winter in the dark and cold photographing abandonded mines. This winter, I am making photos of the ravens that occupy Fairbanks every winter when the sane wildlife moves out.
What is your website?
Why do people care about your site?
When you are stuck inside for 6 months a year, art is important. Fairbanksans are very supportive of their local artists (me included!) but I’d love to share my work with a wider audience too.
Thanks, Phil! You can check out Phil’s other photos here.
