ASO Austin Road Trip Contest Party Wrap-Up

On November 1st, some folks on the ASO team gathered to celebrate the winner of the ASO Road Trip Contest. After receiving a slew of different entries from many exotic ports of call (such as Scranton, PA), we decided to head down to sunny Austin, Texas.

One of the prizes we gave away was a Yeti Roadie cooler, which is known to be one of the sturdiest containers for holding beverages on the planet. Yeti Coolers is based in Austin, so we got to pick up our gift at the HQ. Very exciting. Unfortunately, there were no actual Yetis on the premises.

We held the gathering at the Shady Grove Restaurant in Austin, a great little place that was stylistically inspired by State Parks built in the 1940′s. What’s more, they had fantastic nachos and endless carbonated beverages.

A closer look at the prize package. The bag was filled with a tantalizing selection of health foods, including almonds, candy bars, and some jerky. Three of the five food groups!
Or is it 4? Either way, not bad.

Those are big sodas.

We had this ASO logo handy, so we thought it would be nice to show it off. However, when people began to harass us about giving them free fruit, we decided it was time to head home for the evening.

Pretty severe punishment! Luckily we all followed the the correct parking protocol and no humiliation was administered.

Austin is a beautiful city, and we had a great time.  Thanks to everyone who attended the party and entered the contest. Congrats, Alex!

Oh, and remember- we’re still offering ASO stickers, t-shirts, and moleskines.
