If you are a Cloud VPS customer on one of our Cloud VPS plans with 768 MB of RAM or less, you got a nice email from us earlier today:
Hi <cool customer>, We just wanted to let you know that we've gone ahead and upgraded the RAM allocation on your A Small Orange Cloud VPS account from 768 MB to 1024 MB of RAM. The upgrade is on us and it's free for you - now and forever. Ensuring our customers have the best possible experience is really important to us and we've heard feedback from some customers over the past few months letting us know that the 768 MB accounts were providing less than ideal performance in some use cases. We've also gone ahead and stopped offering the 768 MB Cloud VPS plan, and all plans we sell from now on will now have 1 GB of RAM or higher. Our pricing remains unchanged and Cloud VPS plans still start at $25 a month. To get your extra RAM, you will need to reboot your Cloud VPS. To do so, just follow the instructions below: - Login to your Customer Area at https://customers.asmallorange.com. - Click to view your services under "Your Services". - Click the Cloud Server you wish to reboot. - Click "Login to Cloud Command" button at the bottom of the page (It is possible that you may need to sign in again with your customer area login.) - Click Virtual Machines on the left side - Find the VPS you want to reboot and on far right drop down under Actions choose reboot. This upgrade was given to all previous 1024 MB plan customers for free as well and we've sent those customers an email similar to the one above. Our new 1024 MB plan costs $25 a month and our new 1280 MB plan costs $30 a month. We felt that these changes would lead to a better experience for all of our customers - both new and existing.
