The body of your content matters
It’s easy to think that the only things that matter to an article are the SEO aspects of titles and heading, but the body of an article is also very important. It is, for example, where developers can populate keywords. It’s easy to get caught up in meta data, titles, and so forth, but the content of an article is really just as important. Truly, if the body’s bad, then your website doesn’t have much staying power, and will actually lose users in the long run.
Scraping vs. original content
Scraping can seem like a really attractive option for development – at first. Although it is definitely easier and faster to steal content from other websites, and some scraping websites will even outrank the sites they steal their content from, scraping is a bad idea for a few reasons. Most scraping websites are eventually caught and taken down. Even though this process can take a while, it isn’t worth that risk. This can be a difficult line, especially if you’re creating content in a technical or special interest sector. However, you never know who will end up reading your website, and it’s probably better to use layman’s terms when you can. This isn’t to say that jargon shouldn’t be used ever or that it isn’t useful sometimes, but as a general rule, using it sparingly is a good idea.

First impressions make a big difference on a website. Although having a lot of good content is great, it’s also important not to overload users with it the moment they go to your website. Limiting the amount of content on your homepage will speed up loading time and will contribute to making your website look professional and orderly. As a basic rule of thumb, five to ten blog posts is about the right size.
Different than scraping, syndication is beefing up your site’s content with relevant information from other sources while also attributing the original author’s article. Site’s like Upworthy and BuzzFeed do this perfectly and sometimes even outrank the original articles. Note on syndication, if you plan to use AdSense for monetization, Google prefers original content over syndicated content.
