In this blog series, we chat with some of our ASO employees to share who we are, what we do, and what makes A Small Orange so great. Read on to find out what life is like inside ASO while we “peel back the orange.” Stay tuned for more ASO Spotlight blogs!
Here is some of our interview:
What do you do at ASO?
I’m a Systems Administrator in the Technology department. I build and maintain servers for infrastructure, our cloud, shared environments, and dedicated customers.
If you weren’t working for ASO, what would your dream job be?
If I wasn’t working for ASO, I would most likely be helping my friend start up his maker space (a space filled with tools that people can use to build anything for a monthly fee).
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I actually live a fairly busy life. Aside from working on various projects, I also have been spinning the fire staff for over a year now.
What’s the top song on your playlist right now?
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of songs that I like to spin fire to. Currently the top song is Kong by Bonobo.
Mac, PC, or Other? And why?
I’m definitely a hardcore Linux user. I find that it has the most power, and after some getting used to, I can perform tasks much quicker.
